Charles B. Lewis concentrates his practice in the area of construction law and litigation and is a member of Duane Morris' national Construction Practice Group. Mr. Lewis has served as a mediator in over 350 mediations, the vast majority of which have been construction related.  These mediations have included disputes that have arisen out of the design and construction of power plants, bridges, highways, hospitals, hotels, schools, churches, high-rise condomniniums and office buildings.  Mr. Lewis has acted as a single arbitrator and a member of a three arbitrator panel on more than 30 construction arbitrations.  Mr. Lewis is a mediator and arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association, an Arbitrator for the International Centre for Dispute Resolution, and is a mediator for the Circuit Court of Cook County, Court Annexed Major Case Civil Mediation Program.  Mr. Lewis has also been certified as a mediator by the International Mediation Institute. 

Mr. Lewis is a 1976 graduate of the University of San Francisco School of Law and a graduate of the University of Michigan.

 Mr. Lewis is a Fellow in the College of Commercial Arbitrators and has written numerous articles relating not only to mediation and arbitration but to construction in general.  For the past several years Mr. Lewis has been listed in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers For Business, in Band 1, one of six construction lawyers in the state of Illinois to be so honored.  Mr. Lewis is listed in Best Lawyers in America, The International Who's Who of Construction Lawyers and is a former President of the Trial Lawyers Club of Chicago.
